Vigil is one of the pillars of the Catholic Divine Project


What is a Vigil? A Virgil is a period of intentional sleeplessness which is generally characterized by spiritual activities aimed at moving God's hand to release divine favour and intervention 




Vigil is the act of keeping awake at times when sleep is customary. Is also a period of wakefulness




2: an event or a period of time when a person or group stays in a place and quietly waits, prays, etc., especially at night candlelight.




3a: a watch formerly kept on the night before a religious feast with prayer or other devotions




b: the day before a religious feast observed as a day of spiritual preparation from all night exercises. By this we get the ammo of grace not to fall into various temptations. Every exercise like this, done properly restores the Grace and blessings of God that we have lost in the past. We also receive the fortitude to resist temptation especially temptations to sin and temptation to live a lazy life. Other terms for vigil are: Wake Keep, All night, Watch etc.
