Course 5 Analysis and summary

 *COURSE 5* 👉🏼 *VIGIL* *ANALYSIS AND SUMMARY:* VIGIL has to do with denying oneself sleep, especially at night, when it is customary to ENJOY sleep. So, it is a form of SACRIFICE imposed on oneself in order to seek for a HIGHER GOOD from God. Not only that Vigil is capable of releasing God's favours on the participants but vigil equally equips them with self-discipline. Types of Vigil include: All-night vigil, Candlelight vigil, Christian burial wake/Vigil, Liturgical Vigil. Catholic Divine Project (CDP) has VIGIL as part and parcel of its life. This Vigil in CDP can be daily, monthly, occasional or even daily, especially the ones attached to various hours of prayers from midnight. In all, there about *30 vigils* that are observed annually in CDP. We can trace VIGIL in the Bible, as there are many points that the Bible highlights the necessity of Vigil. For example, 1 Thessalonians 5:6 affirms: *“So then let us NOT SLEEP, as others do, but let us KEEP AWAKE and be sober."* S...

 Course 5 Topic 6 Benefits of Vigils Night Vigil is a booster that helps prayers to be quickly answered by God who sees every sacrifice made in his name. 1. Night vigil strengthens our spirit man (Galatians 5:25). 2. Night vigil strengthens our faith (James 2:24). 3. Night vigil gives us an upper hand in spiritual warfare (1 Peter 5:8). 4. Night vigil brings supernatural encounters with God through the Holy Spirit and his angels (Joel 2:28). 5. Night vigil gives you a good time to hear warnings from God without distractions (Job 33:14-18). 6. Night Vigil fortifies our relationship with God. 7. Night Vigil lead to quicken answers after praying    Night vigil is not required to live as a Christian but it is highly recommended. As Christians we face the most spiritual battles because we are the biggest targets for Satan and his kingdom (Revelation 12:17). So we must be vigilant and and pray at all times in the spirit (Ephesians 6:18).
